Description of the Operation

We are looking for stable and secure families who are interested in becoming contact families and making a difference for children in need of support in Robertsfors Municipality.

As a contact family, you open your home and welcome children for a weekend each month.

Your Mission

Are you/are you secure and attentive adults who have the time and commitment to welcome children into your home for a weekend each month?

We are now looking for contact families for children of various ages. The mission of the contact family includes being an adult support and providing children with a change of environment. A goal can often be to expand the children's social network and support them in finding new leisure interests.

The families we are looking for are ordinary families with some form of experience with children. We believe you can offer a warm, calm, and secure home environment where there are present adults. It is a plus if you are an active family who enjoys spending time and engaging in various activities with the children.

Your Skills and Experience

Before being assigned as a contact family, an investigation is conducted to assess the suitability of the intended contact family and to ensure a good match with the children's needs.

In connection with the investigation of our contact families, we always obtain background checks.

It is an advantage if you have experience working with children and youth.

Is This You?

You, or your family, feel secure in taking responsibility for a child in everyday situations and can independently provide a calm and stable home environment. At the same time, you find it easy to collaborate with the child's network and social services, and see the value of dialogue and cooperation regarding the child's best interests.

You have a natural ability to create relationships and build trust over time. With your empathetic ability, you meet the child with attentiveness, understanding, and respect for the child's needs and circumstances. You can be a secure adult support that contributes to community, new experiences, and positive encounters.

We Offer You

We offer support and guidance in the assignment.

The assignment as a contact family is compensated, and remuneration is provided according to SKR's guidelines.
